From today (1) Sri Lankans seeking self-arranged jobs in 13 countries must get their employment contracts certified by Sri Lankan embassies to register with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE). 

The move aims to curb human trafficking and ensure worker safety. 

A $60 fee applies, with exemptions for verified professionals.
