Sri Lanka is planning to host what is expected to be the largest investment forum in its history on 10 June, according to the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB).
Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer Mangala Wijesinghe announced the initiative at a media briefing held on Tuesday (24), noting that the event aims to bring some of the world’s leading investors to the country.
He said the forum will provide a platform for Sri Lankan exporters to meet global investors and buyers directly, enabling discussions on expanding export opportunities and strengthening international market linkages.
Wijesinghe added that the 10 June event is expected to be the most extensive and attractive investment gathering ever organised in Sri Lanka, with the participation of top-tier global investors.
According to him, the initiative is intended to facilitate face-to-face engagement between local exporters and international investors, helping drive further growth in the country’s export sector.
