The revised Value Added Tax (VAT) invoice format will become mandatory from 1 October 2026, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has announced.

The implementation, initially scheduled for 1 July, was postponed to give businesses more time to update their accounting and billing systems.

The IRD has now issued an Extraordinary Gazette notification on the revised format and instructed businesses to ensure their systems comply before 1 October.
