An anti-drug youth summit has been scheduled for 26 June under the “A Nation United” national programme aimed at combating drug abuse in Sri Lanka.
According to the President’s Media Division, the summit is being jointly organised by the National Youth Services Council and the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.
A discussion on the initial arrangements was held today (21) at the Presidential Secretariat under the patronage of Secretary to the President Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.
The programme is expected to mobilise youth against drug abuse and coincide with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
