President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with Australian Deputy Prime Minister (PM) and Defence Minister Richard Marles in Colombo today (3) to strengthen bilateral relations. 

Discussions focused on boosting economic, political, and security cooperation. 

President Dissanayake highlighted progress on economic recovery and anti-corruption efforts, while appreciating Australia's support in maritime security and countering illegal activities. 

Marles reaffirmed Australia's commitment to deeper engagement with Sri Lanka's new administration.
