Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya has stressed the importance of collective support from teachers, education administrators, and parents for the success of Sri Lanka's upcoming education reforms.

Speaking at the launch of an awareness programme in the North Central Provincial Council, the Prime Minister highlighted the need to revamp the current education system and improve school infrastructure.

She noted that addressing staff shortages in teaching, principal, and administrative roles is critical and called for a holistic approach to reform.

The awareness series aims to educate provincial, regional, and divisional-level officials on reforms scheduled for implementation in 2026.
