Daily drinking water allocation increased to 15 litres per person

The daily drinking water allocation for people affected by dry weather has been increased from 6 litres to 15 litres per person, according to the National Disaster Relief Services Centre (NDRSC).


The NDRSC stated that water distribution to affected communities is continuing, with funds also allocated to clean and restore wells and other water sources.


People facing drinking water shortages have been asked to inform their local Grama Niladhari officer to arrange assistance.
