Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa praised the U.S. tariff reduction on Sri Lankan goods from 44% to 20%, aligning the country with Vietnam and Bangladesh.

While commending the NPP Government’s efforts, he urged full disclosure of trade and security agreements with the U.S., stressing the need to safeguard national sovereignty.
