Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next month.

Discussions on the visit were held between Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar and the Maldivian High Commissioner at the Parliamentary complex.

The Ministry of Fisheries Aquatic and Ocean Resources Sri Lanka stated that talks focused on new investment and cooperation in the fisheries sector.

Both sides discussed opportunities for joint production, value-added fish products, and direct exports from Sri Lanka to the Maldives.
