- Only kerosene sees reduction while oct. 92 & 95 petrol, auto & super diesel see hikes
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco/CPC), the Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC), and the Beijing-based Chinese oil and gas giant’s subsidiary in Sri Lanka, Sinopec Energy Lanka (Private) Limited announced that fuel prices were revised with effect from 5 a.m. yesterday (1 January).
Accordingly, the CPC revisions are as follows: a litre of octane 92 petrol has been increased by Rs. 20 to Rs. 366 per litre, a litre of octane 95 petrol has been increased by Rs. 38 to Rs. 464 per litre, a litre of auto diesel has been increased by Rs. 29 to Rs. 358 per litre, a litre of super diesel has been increased by Rs. 41 to Rs. 475 per litre, and a litre of kerosene has been reduced by Rs. 11 to Rs. 236 per litre.
LIOC has also increased their fuel prices in line with the new Ceypetco/CPC prices.
Sinopec, too, revised the prices of its petroleum products. Accordingly, Sinopec announced that a litre of octane 92 petrol has been increased to Rs. 363 per litre, a litre of octane 95 petrol has been increased to Rs. 464 per litre, and a litre of super diesel has been increased to Rs. 475 per litre.
