President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who was on an official visit to Japan, arrived in the island this morning (01) through the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake.
The President left Sri Lanka on 22 September to attend the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Following this, on the invitation of the Japanese Government, President Dissanayake arrived at Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan, on the morning of 27 September.
He was accompanied on the visit by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Vijitha Herath, along with senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Concluding the visit, the delegation returned to Sri Lanka this morning at 9.30 a.m. on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-403 from Bangkok, Thailand
