Sri Lanka welcomed 158,971 tourists in September 2025, according to the latest data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
India remained the leading source market with 49,697 visitors (31.3%), followed by the United Kingdom (10,752), China (10,527), Germany (9,344) and Australia (9,105).
With the addition of September figures, total tourist arrivals for 2025 have reached 1,725,494. Of these, 375,292 visitors came from India, 161,893 from the UK, 122,144 from Russia, and 106,988 from Germany, the SLTDA stated.
