• Recommencement on 30 Nov., subjects on 3 non-held days from 21-23 Dec. 

The Examinations Department announced that it has decided to temporarily suspend the ongoing 2024 General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A/L) Examination.

Accordingly, the subjects which were scheduled to be held today (27), tomorrow (28) and on 29 November, have been suspended, the Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said.

Speaking at a special press briefing yesterday (26) evening, Jayasundara stated that this decision was taken in view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions.

Furthermore, he highlighted that the Exam will re-commence on 30 November and will continue as previously scheduled.

The Exam for the subjects which are scheduled today, tomorrow and on 29 November will be held on 21, 22 and 23 December, respectively, according to Jayasundara.
