According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), a total of 401,787 tourists have visited the country during the first two months of this year, signaling a positive trend in the tourism sector.
Specifically, between 1 and 12 February, there were 124,460 tourist arrivals, reflecting steady growth as the peak travel season continues to attract visitors.
India has emerged as the leading source market, with 70,880 Indian tourists visiting Sri Lanka so far this year.
Other top contributing countries include the United Kingdom, Germany, the Russian Federation, and China, all of which have played significant roles in supporting the sector's strong performance this season.
