The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) has reported a tragic increase in the number of deaths and missing persons following the adverse weather conditions affecting Sri Lanka.

As of nine in the morning today(01), 355 deaths have been officially confirmed.

Additionally, 366 persons remain missing. 

The DMC is continuing to update the public on the extent of the disaster.
