Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing tour of Pakistan, dismissing fears of a pullout following a deadly suicide bombing in Islamabad on Tuesday(11).

Despite some players initially expressing concerns, SLC has assured the squad that enhanced security measures are in place, coordinated with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). 

The board mandated that all players continue the tour as planned, with replacements ready if any player opts to return home. 

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi ordered a review of security, while the Sri Lankan envoy expressed being "fully satisfied" with the arrangements.

The first One-Day International (ODI) proceeded as scheduled.

Subsequent fixtures have been adjusted to 14 and 16 November.
