President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasised the importance of rebuilding the education system to align with global demands and achieve the country’s educational goals.
He made these remarks during a meeting with the officials from the Ministries of Education, Science, and Technology at the Presidential Secretariat today (16).
The meeting focused on areas such as modernising school education, improving teacher training, advancing secondary education, enhancing technical education, and developing information technology education.
Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, Secretary to the President Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, and the Secretary to the Ministry of Education Tilaka Jayasundara were present at the meeting.
