The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka will launch its new “China Visa Online Application System” on 30 June, 2025. 

Applicants must apply via https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/, complete the form, and submit documents online.

After initial approval, they must visit the Embassy for passport submission and biometrics. 

The new system offers both normal and express services. Applications via the old system will remain valid only if completed before 27 June at 5:00 PM. 

The new process does not apply to Hong Kong or Macao visas.
