The Supreme Court (SC) has reserved its judgment in the appeal filed by “Swiss Kumar” and others convicted and sentenced to death for the 2015 abduction, rape, and murder of schoolgirl Sivaloganathan Vidya in Jaffna.  

The case, which sparked nationwide outrage, was heard before a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court chaired by Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena. 

The verdict will be delivered at a later date.
