An appeal filed by Yoshitha Rajapaksa seeking an order preventing the continuation of a conspiracy charge against him in a money laundering case has been withdrawn before the Supreme Court today (7).

The case was filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

The Supreme Court granted permission for the appeal to be withdrawn while allowing Rajapaksa to raise the same matter if he files an appeal in the future.
