• As main sponsor of The Next XV Rugby League 

JETOUR, represented in Sri Lanka by Euro Motors, has been named the Main Sponsor of The Next XV Rugby League, a new franchise-based competition bringing together 140 Under-19 rugby players.

Organised by Sri Lanka Rugby in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association, The Next XV will feature four franchise teams, providing young players with an opportunity to compete outside the traditional school rugby environment.

The competition is designed to help players develop their skills, game awareness, teamwork and ability to perform under pressure, while also exposing them to different teammates, coaches and competitive conditions.

Executive Director of Euro Motors Zameer Imtiaz said the development of the participating players remained central to the league.

“What happens to the players is the most important part of this league. The Next XV gives these young players an opportunity to compete, make decisions under pressure, learn from their coaches and discover their potential. These are experiences that can shape a young player’s journey, and JETOUR is proud to support a platform that gives 140 players the opportunity to take their next step,” he said.

The franchise format is also expected to give players an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities beyond their individual school teams and adapt to a different competitive environment.

The Next XV forms part of a longer-term effort to strengthen Sri Lanka’s rugby talent pool and support the development pathway towards the Sri Lanka Under-19 programme. It also contributes to wider ambitions surrounding Sri Lanka’s rugby development ahead of the country’s aspirations for the 2035 Rugby World Cup.

With 140 players competing across four franchises, the league aims to provide a platform for young rugby players to gain competitive experience and develop the skills required for the next stage of their careers.
