Sri Lanka T20 captain Dasun Shanaka urged fans not to give up on Sri Lanka Cricket after the team’s exit from the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Sri Lanka were eliminated following a 61-run defeat to New Zealand national cricket team at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium yesterday(25).

Chasing 169, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 107, marking their second Super Eight defeat.

In a Facebook post, Shanaka stated he shares the disappointment of fans and accepts the criticism.

He noted that the team will continue efforts to improve and represent the country.
