DFCC Bank hosted a Pro-Am golf tournament on 4 January at the Royal Colombo Golf Club, marking the opening event of the Faldo Golf Series powered by DFCC Bank 2026.

The Pro-Am brought together professional golfers, junior players, and invited DFCC Bank Pinnacle customers and corporate partners. The event is part of the tournament week and is designed to allow amateurs and junior golfers to compete alongside professional players.

The format of the Pro-Am is intended to encourage interaction between experienced professionals and emerging junior golfers, offering opportunities for shared learning and exposure to competitive standards.

The event follows the inaugural Pro-Am held in 2025 and forms part of DFCC Bank’s involvement as title sponsor of the Faldo Golf Series for the second consecutive year.

The Pro-Am also precedes the Faldo Junior Tournament, which focuses on competitive experience and long-term development for young players.

Founded by Sir Nick Faldo, the Faldo Golf Series operates as an international development programme for junior golfers. Its Sri Lankan leg provides young players with an opportunity to measure their performance against international standards and gain wider exposure.

Following the Pro-Am on 4 January, the tournament week continued with an official Practice Day on 5 January, the Faldo Junior Tournament from 6 to 8 January, and the prize giving ceremony on 8 January, all hosted at the Royal Colombo Golf Club.
