Sri Lankan authorities are currently working to bring back 30 organized criminals who have fled the country and are wanted for various crimes. 

Police spokesperson Assistant Superintendent Udaya Kumara Wootler confirmed that Interpol red notices have been issued for all 30 individuals.

According to the Police spokesperson, 17 wanted criminals who were residing abroad and had red notices issued against them have already been brought back to Sri Lanka this year. 

He emphasised that these successes were a result of diplomatic efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and special relationships maintained by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) with foreign countries.
