Unbeaten Lalith Athulathmudali College, Mt. Lavinia from the Western Province, will meet unbeaten Dhammissara National School Naththandiya from the North Western Province in the final of the Under-19 Division 3 Tier-B Inter-Schools Limited-Over Cricket Tournament today (19) at Wesley College Grounds. 

A total of 191 teams from the island participated in the tournament. Initially, the schools were divided into 42 groups. Champions and runners-up of each group, which in total came up to 84 teams from the first round, made it to the final round. The tournament is being conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association with the sponsorship of Sri Lanka Cricket.

Lalith Athulathmudali College, Mt. Lavinia beat Science College, Mt. Lavinia, Dharmaraja Maha Vidyalaya, Mampe, and Ananda Vidyalaya, Kottawa in the first round. Dhammissara National School Naththandiya beat Bandaranayakepura Maha Vidyalaya in the first round.

Lalith Athulathmudali did not play the other two matches and they advanced to the final round as group champion in the first round. Dhammissara National School Naththandiya advanced to the final round as runner-up of their group. 

Lalith Athulathmudali College, Mt. Lavinia beat Malabe Boys College and Kadawatha Central College in the final-round fixtures. Dhammissara National School Naththandiya beat Tharmapuram Maha Vidyalaya Kilinochchi, Sir Wiliam Gopallawa Maha Vidayalaya, Gokarella, and Hartley College Point Pedro in the final-round fixtures.

Lalith Athulathmudali College, Mt. Lavinia beat Basilica College Ragama in the pre-quarterfinal. They beat Saralankara Maha Vidyalaya Gonapinuwala in the quarterfinal and beat Kekirawa Central College in the semifinal.

Dhammissara National School Naththandiya beat Amarasooriya MMV Meepawala in the pre-quarterfinal, beat Mahanama National School Monaragala in the quarterfinal and beat Poramadulla Central College in the semifinal.

Dushan Silva will lead Lalith Athulathmudali College Mt. Lavinia while Ranuka Shavinda will lead Dhammissara National School Naththandiya.
