The Department of Railways will resume train services between Badulla and Ambewela on the Upcountry Railway Line from 20 December.

Two trains will depart Badulla at 9.00 am and 3.00 pm, with return services from Ambewela at 9.30 am and 3.00 pm.

Each train will feature two air-conditioned first-class reserved compartments, one second-class and one third-class reserved seating compartment, providing passengers with multiple travel options.
