Obtaining the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) will be mandatory from February when obtaining services relating to registering and transferring vehicles at the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT).
DMT stated that the ownership or registration of vehicles cannot be done without the TIN.
The department urged the people to obtain the TIN as soon as possible if they needed the service from the department and requested the people not to waste their time coming to the department without the number.
