Sri Lanka Railways has begun daily operations of the Mount Lavinia–Kankesanthurai Inter-City Express, previously limited to weekends. 

Departing Mount Lavinia at 5:15 AM, it reaches KKS by 12:13 PM, with the return trip at 1:50 PM. 

The Yal Devi now departs Colombo Fort at 6:40 AM instead of 5:45 AM. 

Passengers with prior bookings are urged to check the new timings.
