Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya stated that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has assured that efforts will be made through the upcoming Budget to revise the Value Added Tax (VAT) imposed on books.

She made the remarks while attending the inauguration of the 27th Colombo International Book Fair at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo today (25).

The Prime Minister stated that the President had asked her to convey the assurance to those attending the event.
