Three youths drowned after a group of four went swimming in the Victoria Reservoir near the Bambaragala Temple area in the Teldeniya Police Division, according to the Police.

The Police Media Division told The Daily Morning last evening that one youth was rescued unharmed, while the bodies of the other three were later recovered.

According to Police, the group consisted of youths aged between 18 and 21 and all were residents of Werellagama in Kandy.

Further investigations are being conducted.
