The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has launched an AI-powered chatbot to provide easier access to vocational education information.

Introduced under the ‘1966’ Vocational Education Hotline at the Nipunatha Piyasa premises in Narahenpita, the digital service was unveiled by Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya.

Developed by the Ministry’s technical officers, the trilingual chatbot offers instant answers on vocational training and career guidance. 

The Prime Minister noted that integrating AI into education will better prepare youth for the evolving job market, aligning with ongoing education reforms to strengthen skills and resources for future industry needs.
