The Department of Posts announced yesterday (22) that postal parcel deliveries will now be carried out every other day to cope with the ongoing global fuel shortage. 

Deputy Postmaster General Premachandra Herath explained that deliveries from Colombo to key regions such as Jaffna, Batticaloa, Badulla, and Kandy will occur on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. 

Similarly, deliveries from distant areas back to Colombo and suburbs will also be scheduled every other day.
