The Coconut Development Board has decided to establish a new coconut triangle in the Hambantota district by planting 100,000 coconut saplings.
As part of this initiative, farmers in the areas of Ranna, Weerakatiya, and Walasmulla will receive five coconut saplings each to plant in their home gardens.
Accordingly, this aims to promote coconut cultivation and encourage people to utilize their home gardens for productive purposes.
