Prabhath Madusanka, popularly known as ‘Midigama Chuti,’ a member of an organized criminal gang, was brought back to Sri Lanka this morning (30) after being in Omani custody.
He was escorted to Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake by a team of special police officers.
Madusanka, linked to multiple criminal activities, was detained last year by Omani authorities with a red warrant issued against him.
Three officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) traveled to Oman to oversee his return.
He arrived at (BIA) Bandaranaike International Airport at 4:27 a.m. on SalamAir flight OV-437, and following statement recordings, he was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters in Colombo for further investigation.
