A fire erupted today (17) around 10:10 a.m. at a building located at Jayantha Weerasekara Mawatha in the Maligawatta area. 

Reports indicate that the fire brigade swiftly brought the blaze under control.

There have been no reports of casualties, with only property damage reported at this time.
