The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) and the Excise Department have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to combat tax evasion and money laundering.

The agreement, signed today (21) at the Ministry of Finance, will enable the two departments to exchange intelligence and conduct parallel investigations.

It aims to expand tax evasion audits, curb illicit financial flows and improve State revenue collection.
