The Public Health Inspectors’ Union (PHIU) says 2,388 Vesak dansals have been registered across Sri Lanka so far.

PHIU Secretary Chamil Muthukuda said registrations will continue until May 29.

Registration is being carried out through Medical Officer of Health (MOH) offices islandwide.

Health officials are also conducting awareness programmes on hygiene and food safety for organisers.
