India has provided financial assistance to 300 Sri Lankan students who recorded high performance at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examinations.

The assistance was awarded at the 14th Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship Awarding Ceremony, covering the 2020 and 2021 O/L batches.

Prime Minister(PM) Harini Amarasuriya noted that the government is pursuing reforms in education and other sectors, and highlighted the role of individual responsibility in national development.
