A suspect has been arrested for allegedly defrauding a person of Rs. 1.2 million by promising employment in Israel, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) stated.

The suspect was produced before the Hulftsdorp No. 5 Magistrate’s Court and remanded until 14 October.

Authorities also recovered forged documents allegedly prepared to recruit people as office assistants at the Ministry of Ports and Aviation.
