The Postal Department has decided to implement a special postal and courier service during the upcoming long weekend on the occasion of Ramadan and the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

Issuing a statement, the Postmaster General S.R.W.M.R.P. Sathkumara stated that accordingly, special services will be available through the post offices and sub-post offices across the island for cash on delivery, Sri Lanka Posts courier and the express mail service on 12 April despite the latter being a holiday.
