President Anura Kumara Dissanayake commended outgoing Treasury Secretary Mahinda Siriwardana for his pivotal role in guiding Sri Lanka’s economic recovery following the nation’s worst financial crisis.
Speaking at a farewell event at the Presidential Secretariat, the President highlighted Siriwardana’s leadership, commitment, and extensive experience as vital assets during a challenging period for the country.
Siriwardana, who served for 3 years, described the tenure as the most defining chapter of his public service career. He thanked the President for his continued trust across Government transitions.
A commemorative token was presented to mark his service, as the President called on young public servants to emulate Siriwardana’s dedication and values-based leadership.
