Police request the public to avoid visiting Kandy today (24) and tomorrow (25) due to heavy crowds at the Sri Dalada Wandanawa, with over 400,000 devotees already present. 

The sacred veneration, ongoing since 18 April, will conclude on 27 April. 

Authorities encourage visits on less crowded days for a more comfortable experience.
