Workers from the N.C. section of the Kotiyagala Estate in Bogawantalawa contributed a total of Rs. 108,000 from their one-day salary to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund. The donation was handed over on 27 December to National People’s Power (NPP) Nuwara Eliya District Members of Parliament Manjula Suraweera Arachchi and Krishnan Kalaichelvi.

The Rebuilding Sri Lanka Fund was established to support initiatives aimed at economic recovery, disaster relief, and community development projects across the country, following the natural disasters caused by Cyclone Ditwah. Donations to the fund are being accepted from individuals, organisations, and communities committed to helping rebuild Sri Lanka.
