Sri Lankan singer Windy Goonatillake won the Best Sensational Song of the Year – 2023 at the 16th Edison Awards in Chennai, India for her viral hit Ayyo Sami. 

The song, a fusion of Sinhala and Tamil lyrics, was co-performed with Sanuka Wickramasinghe and written by Sri Lankan lyricist Pottuvil Asmin.
