The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has announced that public officials who fail to submit their 2025 asset and liability declarations by today (14) will face monetary penalties starting tomorrow.
Under the Anti-Corruption Act No. 09 of 2023, declarations were initially due by 30 June, with a two-week grace period ending on 14 July. CIABOC has reminded heads of Government institutions to submit lists of defaulters in the coming days.
The Commission stressed that enforcement measures are necessary to uphold accountability and ensure compliance with the new anti-corruption framework.
