The Chief Security Officer (CSO) of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Neville Wanniarachchi, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) yesterday (2), has been remanded until 17 October by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanka S. Bodaragama issued the order after considering the submissions made by the CIABOC officials and the suspect’s attorneys.
He had been arrested and produced before Court on charges of failing to disclose the manner in which he acquired assets and properties estimated to be worth over Rs. 28 million.
