Six families in the Basnakanda area of Makandura have been evacuated due to a landslide threat, local authorities said.

The evacuation followed heavy rainfall that uprooted several large trees on a nearby hill.

Officials said there is a risk of falling rocks affecting six houses in the area.

Further action will be taken based on an assessment by the NBRO.
