The University of Colombo (UOC) and the Korea National Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) are set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance education and research cooperation.

Accordingly, the MoU will focus on joint programs in biochemistry, molecular biosciences, and biotechnology. It will also support collaborative workshops and conferences.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal, which was presented by the Prime Minister in her capacity as Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Professional Education.

The MoU will be in effect for 5 years, fostering educational collaboration between Sri Lanka and the Korean People's Government.
