The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the implementation of revised salary scales for Government employees, effective from 01 April 2025, following a proposal by President Anura Kumara Dissnayake as the Minister of Finance, Plan Implementation, and Economic development.

The resolution grants authority to the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration to issue circular instructions to relevant ministries, local Government bodies, and heads of departments. 

Additionally, the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance will be empowered to issue similar instructions for state corporations, statutory boards, and fully government-owned institutions.
