Former MP Professor Charitha Herath has been appointed to the Working Committee of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).

He recently supported the party during the Presidential Election as Katugampola electorate organizer in Kurunegala District.

The appointment was made by SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa in recognition of his contributions to the party.
